Missouri EMS Conference & Expo
Common questions
How registration, the website, attendance, and CE work. Venue, parking, hotel, and hours are under Plan your visit.
Registering
- Do I need an account before I can register?
- No. Choose the day or pass you want, give your name and email, and pay. Your account is created after your payment is confirmed, and a sign-in link is emailed to you. You never need to set up an account first.
- I started a registration but did not finish paying. Am I registered?
- No. Starting checkout, leaving the payment page, or coming back without completing payment does not register you and does not create an account. Nothing is held for you, so you can simply start again.
- I paid but no email has arrived. What should I do?
- Check the address you entered during checkout, including its spam folder. Your registration is recorded from the payment itself, not from the email, so a missing email does not mean a missing registration. Contact MEMSA and staff can look up your registration by name or email and send your sign-in link again.
- Can I create an account without registering?
- Not as an attendee: an attendee account comes with a paid registration or a complimentary invitation from MEMSA. Someone proposing a presentation through Apply to Speak, or applying to exhibit or sponsor, starts with just an email, which opens a private workspace for that application only. Reviewers and conference staff are invited by MEMSA. If you already have an account, sign in with an email code or your password.
Preconference classes
- How many preconference classes can I take?
- One. The preconference classes run at the same time, so a registration carries a single class. Choosing a different one replaces your earlier choice before you pay.
- Is a preconference class included with my conference pass?
- No. Preconference classes are priced separately and chosen alongside your pass. You can also register for a preconference class on its own, without a conference day or pass.
Using the website
- What can I see without signing in?
- The conference overview, the full agenda with its speakers, speaker profiles, the session list, and each session's title, description, schedule, room, and speakers. Registration is open to everyone too.
- What needs an account?
- Learning objectives, session materials, the exhibitor directory, and the venue map and floor plans open when you sign in. Session and exhibitor conversations and Community are only for registered attendees and confirmed speakers, exhibitors, and the conference team. Your own schedule, conference pass, attendance, and certificates belong to your registration.
- How do I sign in?
- Enter your account email and we send a one-time code, or use your password if you have set one. The same sign-in works whether you are an attendee, a speaker, an exhibitor, or on the conference team.
- I am a speaker and also attending. Do I need two accounts?
- No. One account carries every relationship you have with the conference — attendee, speaker, exhibitor representative, reviewer, or staff — and the site opens the right work from that single sign-in. There is no role to switch between.
- How do I build my schedule?
- Open the agenda and save the sessions you want. Saving a session is for your own planning: it does not reserve a seat, and it is not what records your attendance.
- Where do I find the venue, parking, and hotel information?
- On Plan your visit, which is where MEMSA publishes the venue, maps, parking, entrances, Wi-Fi, accessibility, hotel, and hours. Those details are kept in that one place, so they are always current there rather than repeated in this FAQ.
At the conference
- How is my attendance recorded?
- Two ways, and both record the same thing. At each room you can scan your personal conference pass at the station, or scan the session's displayed code with your own phone while signed in. Scanning twice does not double-count you.
- Do I have to save a session to attend it?
- No. Your saved schedule and your arrival are separate from attendance. You can attend a session you never saved, and attending is what counts toward your CE.
- The scan did not work. Am I going to lose credit?
- No. A scan that fails tells you plainly rather than pretending it worked, so you will know at the time. Conference staff can record or correct attendance for any session, so find a staff member and they can sort it out.
- Do I need my phone to attend?
- No. The station at each room scans the pass you bring, and staff can look you up by name or email. Scanning a code is never the only way in.
CE and certificates
- How do I earn CE for a session?
- Attend the session, and complete its evaluation where one is required. Evaluation credit is for completing it, not for answering any particular way.
- Where do I find my certificates afterward?
- Under My CE & certificates, from the same account you registered with. Records stay available to you after the conference ends.
- What do I need in my account before CE can be released?
- Your reporting details, such as your license and NEMSID. You do not need them to register or to attend — only before CE is issued — so you can add them later from your account settings.
Speaking
- How do I become a speaker?
- Either the Conference Lead invites you to propose a presentation, or you use Apply to Speak on the public site when MEMSA has opened it. Both start the same private workspace where you describe what you want to present.
- Will I be paid, or have travel covered?
- Only if you ask. Speakers start any compensation or travel request themselves, and MEMSA does not offer anything automatically. If you make a request, the Conference Lead is the one who sets the official offer and final terms.
- Do I have to sign anything?
- Yes. Every speaker completes a final agreement, which you can review and sign on the site, and the Conference Lead verifies it. If signing another way suits you better, MEMSA can accept a signed file instead.
Exhibiting and sponsoring
- How does my company exhibit or sponsor?
- Open the Exhibit or sponsor page, choose the package you want, and either pay by card or request an invoice. A card payment confirms your place once the site receives Stripe's verification of that payment, not when you return from the payment page. An invoice request is confirmed once the Conference Lead issues the invoice.
- Who gets an account for our booth?
- The contact who registers gets one, and can invite booth representatives from the exhibitor workspace. Each person uses their own individual account rather than sharing one.
Getting help
- How do I reach MEMSA with a question?
- Use Contact MEMSA, linked at the bottom of the conference pages and from the sign-in page — you do not need an account. If you already have one, open Messages and use Help MEMSA, which goes to the conference team privately and stays available even when other messaging is closed.
